Windsor is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager that is a positive team member who takes ownership of their work, exhibits the right attitude, and has a desire for constant improvement. The Business Development Manager is responsible for raising the overall visibility of our firm, expanding Windsor’s presence in current markets, developing relationships in new markets and leading strategic client and project pursuits.
The right candidate will share Windsor’s core values, have relevant human resource administration experience, and be fired up about delivering a World-Class Employee Experience.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Position Title: Business Development Manager
Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer
Location: Ridgefield, WA, Minneapolis, MN or Duluth, MN - a hybrid position
What you'll bring:

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, marketing, or communications; master’s degree a plus.

5+ years of successful business development and sales experience in engineering consulting firm.

7-12 years of experience in consulting engineering industry

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.

Understanding and effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to grow customer base and enhance customer relationships.

Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Skilled at influencing and fostering relationships with others.
-
Up to 25% travel may be required.
What you'll do:

Support Practice Leaders in achieving the company’s sales and client service goals.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients.

Manage and effectively utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Identify and evaluate business opportunities aligned with organizational goals and filter to appropriate Practice.

Develop and execute strategies to convert opportunities into successful projects.

Coordinate with Practice Leads and internal teams to ensure effective pursuit of opportunities.

Identify Marketing/Branding Content Needs for effective business development.

Lead the development of proposals and presentations that highlight the Windsor Way, our 5 Cs.

Oversee the entire proposal development process, from strategy to final production.

Enhance Windsor’s visibility within target markets.

Proactively stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics and emerging technologies.

Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities for each Practice area.

Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders based on market analysis.

SALARY RANGE
$95,000 TO $120,000
