Windsor was excited to contribute our energy modeling capabilities to this project. The purpose for energy modeling the homes was to discover what building components could be afforded that would save the most energy while having the least amount of life cycle cost. This affordable housing project is part of the Hennepin Healthcare Envision Community project, a micro-home community that will house high health risk homeless, low health risk homeless, and others who want to live in the community who have never experienced homelessness. The project vision is creating a 2 year case study with goal of creating health equity.
