Bellingham Medical Office Building

[Bellingham, WA] Windsor Engineers worked with Smith Architecture Inc. and Weller Construction on the design of a new Medical Office Building (MOB) that will be used primarily for treatment of cancer patients. The project includes complex medical equipment such as Linear Accelerators and CT Scan machines. Windsor designed a large 480V electrical service to handle the electrical loads in the facility and an efficient VRF/DOAS system for heating, cooling, and ventilation.

2222 15th Apartments

[Seattle, WA] Windsor provided schematic MEP design on this collaboration with Clark Barnes Architects. This 163 unit multi-family project located in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood features a rooftop terrace among other modern amenities. A key design feature of the project required close coordination of a stormwater bio-retention system that directs rainwater into large planters located at street level. After leaving the planters the water is directed into the city stormwater system.

2701 Rockefeller

[Everett, WA] Windsor partnered with Braseth Construction and Clark Barnes on the electrical and plumbing design for this 165-unit multi-family building located in Everett, WA. The project features a fitness room on the main level and a beautifully landscaped rooftop terrace with panoramic views. Windsor collaborated with One-Way Plumbing and Express Electric to provide an integrated design.

Project One

[Redmond, WA] Windsor Engineers collaborated with Clark Barnes Architects, Trammell Crowe Residential, and Nelson Legacy Group on the MEP design for this multi-family project located in Redmond, WA. The first project in the development of a 22 acre site owned by the Nelson family, Project One will be a mixed-use facility consisting of 251 apartments, including 7 live/work units, and 4,300 feet of retail/commercial space located at street level.

Alexan Alderwood

[Lynnwood, WA] Windsor Engineers worked with Strouse Davis Architecture and Trammell Crow Residential on the design of this large multi-family development in Lynnwood, WA just south of the Alderwood Mall. The project consists of 383 units across 4 buildings. Buildings 1 & 2 are 5-stories each and Buildings 3 & 4 are 3-stories each. Amenities include a pool, large fitness area, and clubhouse space on the 5th floor of Building 1 with views of the mall and surrounding areas. Windsor’s scope includes full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design from concept to construction documents.

Kaleva Apartments

[New York Mills, MN] Windsor partnered with AWH Architects and Schuett Properties to renovate this 30-unit building in New York Mills, Minnesota that provides affordable housing to Otter Tail County. The design featured a new high efficiency boiler plant, a new high efficiency ventilation unit to provide fresh air to the corridors, replacement of plumbing fixtures, LED light fixtures, and added cooling to staff areas. This project met the Enterprise Green Communities criteria.

Lake and First Apartments

[Duluth, MN] Remodel of a historic downtown Duluth apartment building. Each unit has a heat pump split system with supplemental electric heat via electric duct coils. Historical requirements and constraints, condenser/ heatpump penthouse was designed but eventually removed due to cost. Plumbing drafting was completed by Windsor and some sizing calcs, corridor ventilation provided through small residential ERV/HRV. All units are ventilated by natural ventilation- operable windows. Area calculations were completed and approved by the City of Duluth with help of an alternate design form.

Gilsdorf House

[Duluth, MN] Net Zero and Passive House single-family house situated on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The narrow pocket available for the building footprint and for active and passive solar access with integrated PV drove this very compact 4 story house design and the client wanted the vertical nest-like experience. It is on track for ph certification(PHI) and zero energy (ILFI).

Trademark North Development

[Ridgefield WA] Windsor Engineers was contracted to assist a development team with stormwater engineering for a project in Ridgefield, Washington that will initially serve three owners while also creating five additional lots for industrial development. Windsor had a design role for the access road serving the five northern lots. The design included a new road and shared utilities. The design is being made to be consistent with the overall area stormwater concepts so the new lots can be served by the stormwater detention and conveyance system. In addition, Windsor was contracted to provide peer review services and general consulting associated with the civil design which includes lot layouts, stormwater engineering, and other civil components.

Si Ellen Farm Subdivision

[Vancouver WA] Windsor Engineers provided civil design services for a 94 lot phase of a larger development. Work included streets, grading, stormwater, erosion control, water, and sewer.
