Windsor Engineers is looking for a leader with a natural affinity toward ownership and mentorship. You love to share what we do with potential clients because you’re excited about possibilities for them.
You think strategically and somewhat out-of-the-box. You’ll work both remotely and in-person out of one of our offices in WA or MN. You’ll be expected to travel to worksites 2-3 times a year.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Position Title: Senior Engineer - Private Development
Reporting to: Infrastructure Group Manager
Location: Ridgefield, WA, Seattle/Tacoma, WA, Tri-Cities, WA, Duluth, MN or Minneapolis, MN
Qualifications:

Professional Engineer
-
10+ years of experience providing private development services
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Licensed or ability to get licensed in WA, OR, and MN
-
Experience putting together and delivering engineering plans, technical memos and reports for private development projects.

Ability to multi-task and problem solve for private development projects of varying complexity, size and jurisdictional authority.
-
Experience with the entitlement process, and overall private development regulations, permitting and environmental constraints.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Operations:
-
Prepare and develop project scopes and budgets for private development opportunities and projects
-
Manage and lead small teams to successfully delivery projects in land development planning, design and/or program management of water and wastewater projects.

Prepare quality deliverables including reports, application packages, engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Routine interactions including meetings, phone calls and emails with clients to assure project goals and needs are being exceeded throughout the project duration.

Routine coordination with jurisdictional authorities through email, phone calls, virtual and in-person meetings.

Supervise and mentor a small team of infrastructure staff.

Maintain an 85% +/- utilization goal (depending on marketing interest and role)
Marketing & Sales:
-
You will work closely with the Infrastructure Sales Lead and Infrastructure Group Manager to create and lead a vision for the growing private development practice across multiple states.

Prepare and assist with writing project proposals for land development projects, from the conceptual and feasibility stage to final construction documents and construction administration support.

You will deliver and ensure delivery of a world-class client experience for our private development projects.
SALARY RANGE
$120,000 to $150,000
