DECANT FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS & REPLACEMENT FACILITIES

The City of Battle Ground has multiple decant facilities for use for stormwater- and sewage-related vactor waste. The original facilities were incorporated into the City’s public works yard site plan in a project managed by Travis Tormanen. More recently, Windsor Engineers provided design and construction administration for a receiving station with a bar screen, a mechanical drum screen, and dewatering capabilities. The facility allows for collection of waste vactored from manholes and elsewhere in the City’s streets and collection infrastructure. Windsor provided planning, civil/mechanical/electrical design, permitting, and construction services to the City. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) requirements were factored into the design criteria and O&M manual information was assembled for use by City staff.
