Filter by project type:
To acquire American Zoo Association accreditation, Windsor Engineers collaborated with the design team to find an integrated solution that met the AZA energy code requirements.  Educating the architect on insulation options, in conjunction with the HVAC system and energy codes, led to a final design meeting all requirements and keeping the project cost at a minimum.

LAKE SUPERIOR ZOO BEAR EXHIBIT

Windsor Engineers worked with Strouse Davis Architecture and Trammell Crow Residential on the design of this large multi-family development in Lynnwood, WA, just south of the Alderwood Mall. The project consists of 383 units across four buildings. Buildings 1 and 2 are five-stories each and Buildings 3 and 4 are three-stories each. Amenities include a pool, large fitness area, and clubhouse space on the fifth floor of Building 1 with views of the mall and surrounding areas. Windsor’s scope includes full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design from concept to construction documents.

ALEXAN ACCESS MULTIFAMILY

The Klamath Falls City School District is undergoing a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) replacement project at four of its schools over the next two years. Pelican Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary are planned to be renovated first, with Mills Elementary and Conger Elementary to follow. The schools are currently heated with geothermal, steam and diesel boilers. All the heating systems have reached the end of their expected equipment lifespan and are due for replacement. Additional upgrades are planned to upgrade the lighting and renovate the bathrooms.

KLAMATH FALLS SCHOOL DISTRICT HVAC REPLACEMENT

Windsor Engineers provided engineering services for a new two-story 17,000 SF activity center and office for a growing golf community in Wilsonville, Oregon. Located by the Charbonneau Country Club, the activity center will replace a demolished restaurant building in the Charbonneau Village Center. This building program includes general assembly spaces, meeting rooms, exercise room, gym, classroom, board room, and associated support spaces. The building was reinforced to also serve as a refuge space in the event of a natural disaster.

CHARBONNEAU ACTIVITY CENTER

Windsor assisted Washington County Public Works and Parks staff with the site work and building improvements at the Big Marine Park Maintenance Facility in the city of Marine on St Croix. Windsor’s project work consisted of grading and site pad preparation for a new modular building, utility work, stormwater design of a ditch and filtration basin, a septic system design, and mechanical and electrical building upgrades. Permitting was required and completed with the Department of Health, the Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed District and Washington county. Windsor led the team and coordinated with various subs and contacts including the geotechnical sub, the public works staff, the electric company, and septic designer. The Civil and MEP team at Windsor worked together seamlessly to deliver the project on-time and within budget.

BIG MARINE PARK

Windsor provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering services for a new office building. The office building was completed in 2024 and included a challenging stormwater permitting effort that involved both the City of Kalispell and the Montana Department of Transportation.

LC STAFFING OFFICE BUILDING

Lyle Secondary School existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and HVAC controls system were at the end of their serviceable life and in need of replacement. Windsor Engineers conducted the HVAC system assessment of the 39,800 square-foot facility to identify the deficiencies and propose solutions for necessary upgrades. Windsor performed detailed design, bidding, and construction administration for the HVAC improvements identified, as well as a partial roofing replacement.

LYLE SCHOOL DISTRICT HVAC AND ROOF REPLACEMENT

As part of an initiative to modernize technology and meet current mechanical, electrical, and plumbing code requirements, Windsor was hired to evaluate the situation and engineer solutions. After completing a thorough site investigation, study and analysis of the building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage systems condition and performance along with analysis of relevant state and local building codes, and other associated legal requirements; construction-ready plans were produced and priced. Windsor scope included: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design services for HVAC system replacement, Electrical System and Lighting Replacements/Upgrades, and septic system expansion.

GREEN MOUNTAIN SCHOOL MECHANICAL UPGRADES

Windsor Engineers provided civil, electrical, and instrumentation design services for a water treatment plant retrofit and reservoir replacement project.

HARRISBURG WATER IMPROVEMENTS

As part of a larger 900,000 SF mixed-use development, Lynnwood Place Phase 2 includes 500 market rate units spread across four, five-story buildings over a single podium of parking with ground-floor retail and additional surface parking. The site is shared with a large big box store occupied by a well known retailer. Windsor also provided site infrastructure and core/shell design for two standalone office/retail buildings. These two 3,200 and 6,400 GSF buildings were designed for maximum flexibility, with the ability to build out for restaurant, office, or alternative commercial use. Windsor also provided design services for an additional 24,000 SF of retail/restaurant space in the large mixed-use podium building.

LYNNWOOD PLACE

Windsor partnered with Braseth Construction and Clark Barnes on the electrical and plumbing design for Trent Development's 165-unit multi-family building located in Everett, WA. The project features a fitness room on the main level and a beautifully landscaped rooftop terrace with panoramic views. Windsor collaborated with One-Way Plumbing and Express Electric to provide an integrated design.

NIMBUS APARTMENTS

A new water supply reservoir and pump station was needed to support a new development in Washougal. The project enables development of an area with great views, large lots, and excellent schools. After a thorough study of the situation and weighing of alternatives with the client, Windsor engineered a reservoir and booster pump station that met the budget and water demand. Going above and beyond work normally provided by a civil engineer, Windsor provided a 3-D model that helped all stakeholders envision the project. This helped enormously with coordination and prevented cost overruns associated with unclear plans. On behalf of Northside LLC and performed with Tapani Inc, Windsor Engineers led the Design-Build team for construction of a new standpipe reservoir and booster pump station. Project consisted of the 76' tall, 44' diameter, 827k gallon welded steel reservoir to provide storage capacity for Zone 3; a 1,685 gpm booster pump station for servicing Zone 5; erosion control, earthwork, pump station building, civil/mechanical piping, electrical, emergency generator, instrumentation/controls, fencing, and landscaping. The system will be City owned and operated.
